What you can report
- content involving or sexualizing minors;
- content in which you are heard or featured without your consent — see below;
- non-consensual content of any other kind;
- trafficking, exploitation or coercion;
- illegal content of any kind;
- impersonation, doxxing or other privacy violations;
- anything else that breaks the Content & Community Guidelines.
What to include
Email legal@sonoroo.com. The more of the following you include, the faster we can act:
- the URL or content ID of the recording, or the creator’s username and its title;
- the creator or account involved;
- a description of your concern;
- your name and contact details, so we can ask questions and tell you the outcome;
- any other relevant information, such as where in the recording the issue occurs.
Do not send us illegal material. Never attach, download, copy or forward it — tell us where it is and we will review it on Sonoroo.
How reports are handled
- Every report is logged and reviewed by a person.
- Reports concerning content that may be illegal or otherwise prohibited are reviewed and resolved within no more than 5 business days of receipt.
- Reports about minors, trafficking, exploitation and non-consensual content are prioritised, and the content may be restricted while we review it.
- If our review establishes that content is illegal, Sonoroo removes it or disables access to it immediately.
Depending on the outcome we may also remove or restrict content that breaks our rules, suspend the account, preserve relevant records, or cooperate with competent authorities where legally required. Where we have your contact details, we tell you the outcome.
If you are featured in content without consent
If you believe you are featured in content on Sonoroo — for example your voice, your identity, your likeness where applicable, or your participation in a recording — you can ask for it to be removed. Email legal@sonoroo.com with the link to the content and how you are featured in it. We may ask for information that helps us confirm you are the person concerned.
- We review whether valid consent exists for your participation, and may restrict the content while we do.
- If valid consent cannot be established, or consent is shown to be invalid under applicable law, Sonoroo removes the content immediately.
- If Sonoroo disputes a claim that consent is legally invalid, the dispute may be referred to an appropriate neutral body, at Sonoroo’s expense, where required.
At launch, a recording may contain only the verified creator’s own voice, so any other person heard in a recording breaks our rules — see the Age, Identity & Consent Policy.
If someone is in danger
If someone is in immediate danger, or you suspect criminal conduct such as child exploitation or trafficking, contact the appropriate law-enforcement authority as well as reporting the content to Sonoroo.
Your information
We use the information in your report to review it and to keep the Platform safe, as described in our Privacy Policy. We do not tell the reported creator who reported them, unless the law requires it or you agree — for copyright complaints the complaint may be shared, see the Copyright & Intellectual Property Policy.
