1. Submitting a notice
Send notices to legal@sonoroo.com. To help us act quickly and accurately, a notice should include:
- the exact location of the content — its link, or the creator’s username and the recording’s title;
- a sufficiently substantiated explanation of why you believe it is illegal;
- your name and email address (except for notices concerning child sexual abuse, which may be anonymous);
- a statement that you believe in good faith that the notice is accurate and complete.
For content that breaks our rules without necessarily being illegal, use Report Abuse.
2. How notices are reviewed
We acknowledge notices where we have contact details, review them diligently and objectively, and prioritise notices concerning minors, exploitation and non-consensual content. Notices follow the same process and timeline as other reports, described in Report Abuse. Automated transcript screening may help us find and prioritise content, but every decision on a notice is made by a person.
3. Possible actions
- restricting visibility of, or access to, the content;
- removing the content;
- suspending monetization or the account, or closing the account;
- preserving relevant records;
- cooperating with competent authorities where legally required.
4. Telling you about decisions
We tell the person who sent a notice about our decision where we have their contact details. When we restrict a creator’s content or account, we tell the creator what we did and why, unless the law prevents it or doing so would compromise an investigation or someone’s safety.
5. Contacting us about a decision
If you disagree with a decision — whether you sent a notice or your own content or account was affected — reply to our message or write to legal@sonoroo.com with the details of the decision and why you think it should change. A different person from the one who made the original decision reviews the request where possible. This does not affect any other rights you may have under applicable law.
6. Misuse
We may stop processing notices or complaints from people who frequently submit manifestly unfounded ones, after a warning.
7. Point of contact
Users and authorities can contact Sonoroo about illegal content and moderation at legal@sonoroo.com. We can communicate in English.
